30 December is a very significant day for sisters St.Joseph of Chambery all over the world, the fox rock community along with the formees novices, postulants and candidates celebrated 350 death anniversary of founder Fr.John Peter Medaille and also commemorated this day to pray for all the departed souls of the congregation.
The day was commenced with a beautiful prayer service, founder Fr.J.P.Medailleand mother St.John Font Bonnefoundress, mother St.John Marcoux,the foundress of chambery, mother St.John Bossat the first missionary to india, mother Francis James the first provincial of pachmarhi and first six sisters were honouredwith petals followed byEucharist.
Fr.christi dasanthe main celebrant said that “Death is a journeytowards holy land we all are journeying towards that holy land” as he highlighted 350 death anniversary of our founder, there after the community sisters along with priest and formees went to the graveyard to express gratitude for their tireless service for the congregation.
