Bhopal: 24 Sep. to 01 Oct. 2019 were very special days for the senior sisters of Pachmarhi Province as they spend these eight days in retreat at Asha Niketan, Bhopal, under the guidance ofFr. Einstein T. Felix, a young and enthusiastic Passionist priest. The experience of the seniors are well expressed in the vote of thanks given by S. Cosmas Menachery.
“I count myself privileged and I am sure all will agree with me to attend this retreat which you have made it so unique and soul searching. The way you dealt with three vows is something very striking quite different from what we have heard from other preachers. The red signals were good parameters to review our vowed life. You helped us to break our alabaster jars which again gave us wonderful experience. Through the parable of the prodigal son you gave us an insight of the unconditional love, mercy and forgiveness of God the father.
The way you broke the word of god at each Eucharist was very profound. The characters like Matthew the tax collector, the paralytic, the woman who touched the fringe of Jesus’ cloak, the Samaritan woman at the well are very touching and inspirational. Each scripture passage that you picked is appropriate to make a thorough introspection of our life.
The story of the snake and the mongoose opened our eyes how Satan can enter our life at different time and situations. Truly father you have touched our hearts and inspired us to renew our original fervor and enthusiasm to go forward to work in the vineyard of the lord till the end of our life.
You helped us to look at confession in a new perspective and encouraged us to go to confession as often as possible which will increase more grace and blessings in us. You have given us a new awareness when we participate in the Eucharist. The call of the Eucharist is to go out and love one another with the same love and gentleness of Jesus himself.”
