Let the Little Children Come to Me

“Let the Little Children Come to Me”

On 13th of November 2022 children’s day was celebrated with the catechism children in St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral Church Jahangirabad, Bhopal, India. In this festivity more than 65 children took part.
Holy Eucharist started with entrance procession of children carrying cross, candles, and flower vases entering in to the Holy Banquet. Fr. Alfred D’Souza, the main celebrant spoke about why do we celebrate children’s day. It’s their identity as child of God and they need to celebrate this day. He emphasized their prayer life and responsibility towards their studies. He also enlighted children about parents working hard for their future and so children need to respect and obey their parents.
After the Holy Mass there was cultural program. The program started with a wishing song by all the catechism teachers. After the wishing song we had Action songs and children fully enjoyed the Action songs. With this the atmosphere changed in to laughter and fun. They were shouting ‘once more’, ‘ones more’.
SVD brothers performed the dance, and the children were thrilled seeing the brothers dancing. Six to seven games were conducted for different groups. Children took part in all the games with full gusto.
After the games attractive and useful prizes were distributed to the children. All of them enjoyed snacks and danced together and by 12:00 p.m. the program was concluded. The children were very happy and they enjoyed their day. We thank God for the lovely children given in our hands to mold and guide them according to God’s plan.
