NURSE AND THE MIDWIFE

International Nurses’ Day this year  was celebrated at Sandhyavan with all the nurses of St. Joseph's Hospital and Sandhyavan communities.

A very meaningful and significant prayer service, at which sisters from both communities participated, was followed by a beautiful, solemn Eucharist where the celebrant made it even more meaningful, highlighting the importance and the true value of nurses. He  expressed gratitude and appreciation for sister nurses at Yerla hospital and Sandhyavan for their untiring services to out-patients and to the old and sick sisters, as well.

The theme for 2020: Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health,  inspired  our nurses who  work tirelessly to provide the care and the attention that people need, whenever and wherever it be. They have visit the surrounding villages to offer care and nursing. This year Nurses day was extra important for our sister  nurses  as the world battles  the corona virus pandemic.  Nurses are vital to treat the sick and to lift their spirits during the pandemic - the fight against corona virus.

We deeply appreciate and thank our dear nurses; we fervently pray for their safety as they continue to dedicate themselves in this fight against the virus pandemic.
