Tuesday, July 23, Amala Institute, Jehangirabad, Bhopal, organized in-campus & off-campus "Swachha Bharat Campaign" at Govindpura, Bhopal with staff and students to keep India Clean and Green. The Director S. Smita Mathew, Staff and Students participated very actively with great fervor and joy. It is a cleanliness drive aimed at the backward statutory towns all over India in order to clean the streets, roads and other infrastructure.
Sr.Smitamade the students aware ofClean India Campaign and benefits of cleanliness and hygiene; dumping of wastage, disadvantages of using plastics, scavenging of house and streets, roads and other infrastructure were also issues discussed. Local people also joined us.In our Campaign, the Parshad (Ward In-charge) joined us to encourage people of local area & students and staff. We were amazed to see the children and the people of the area to joining our campaign.The staff and students of Institute used many slogans on SwachhaBharatAbhiyan during the campaign.
We cleaned the area and collected wastage from streets, roads and different infrastructures. Lots of garbage and plastic wastewere collected and thrown in to NagarNigamBhopal Garbage Vehicle.
At the end of our campaign we found that the people of the locality were aware of cleanliness and hygiene. People were happy to see that we conducted thecleanliness campaign in their locality. They took a resolution that they will not throw the waste in open area and they will try to keep their area clean. We concluded the campaign with positive feelings and saw that it was successful.
