On October 1st the elderly sisters of Asha Niketan Community, Bhopal were honoured and felicitatedas it is the International Day for Elderly People. The day commenced with the nursing school students performing an entertainment program for them. Their lively performance made even the 98-year-old S. Ann Charlotte dance. The community paid tribute to them at a special prayer service conducted at 11:30 a.m. The dinner together with the whole community of Asha Niketan at 12:30 p.m. was marked with cake cutting and special items served for them. At 4:00 p.m. the sisters and others from Asha Niketan Campus was invited for a special tea party to honour the elderly. The celebrations expressed the strong message that we care for them and appreciate them for their valuable contribution to the world, the church and the congregation.
