Renewal and Reflection: Inter-Province Juniorate Program 2025

From June 15th to 25th, 2025, the Nirmala Provincial House in Igatpuri, Maharashtra, played host to a significant gathering of 37 Temporary Professed Sisters from three provinces: Nirmala, Tanmaya, and Pachmarhi. This 12-day inter-province juniorate program was a time of renewal, reflection, and growth for the sisters as we came together to deepen our commitment to Christ and our religious life.

Upon arrival, the sisters were warmly welcomed by Sr. Ancy, the Provincial, Sr. Shyla, the Animator, and the community members. This set the tone for a journey of spiritual growth, learning, and bonding.

The program began with a sharing session, where the sisters introduced themselves and shared our personal stories, struggles, and experiences. This open and honest sharing created a sense of community and understanding among the sisters, allowing us to see the hand of God guiding us in our lives.

Living Our Vows Effectively

On the second day, Fr. Benish OP led a session on living our committed life effectively in light of our vows. He emphasized the importance of being rooted in prayer, having a right motivation, and being more human in our dealings with others. The sisters had a group discussion on the same topic, sharing our views and suggestions on how to practice and live our vows effectively as individuals and in our community.

A Day of Outing and Recreation

On June 17th, the sisters went on an outing to Nasik city, visiting the museum, St. Anne's Cathedral, and the Infant Jesus Shrine. We also visited Satyagiri, a Dominican retreat center, and Bhawali Dam, enjoying the beauty of nature and waterfalls. This day of recreation and bonding brought joy and laughter to the sisters, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

 Annual Retreat

The sisters began our annual retreat on June 17th evening, led by Fr. Jins Joes of Jagdalpur diocese. Throughout the 8-day retreat, Fr. Jins focused on the 10 commandments, helping the sisters understand the hidden meaning of the Word of God and its relevance to our lives. The retreat was a time of spiritual growth, reflection, and renewal for the sisters.

The 12-day program was a time of grace, learning, and renewal for the sisters. We express our gratitude to our provincials and their teams, especially to the junior directresses, for their tireless efforts in arranging and making this program happen. The sisters appreciated their thoughtfulness and generosity in contributing to our growth and development.

The inter-province juniorate program was a resounding success, providing a platform for the sisters to come together, share our experiences, and deepen our commitment to Christ and our religious life. The program was a testament to the power of community and the importance of spiritual growth and development in the lives of religious sisters.
