God created us with life and joy, a reflection of the Creator's presence. He filled us with breath, love, zeal, and joy, lighting up the world. Truly, God calls each of us to love and serve. Our experiences are rich and transformative, strengthening and recharging us. We, the vibrant generative group from Tanmaya Province, gathered for an inspiring and enriching event from August 23rd to 25th.
Twenty-five passionate and vibrant sisters were inspired and reenergized by Fr. Joeston. His words of wisdom provided a comprehensive framework for generative leadership. The theme of the day revolved around four key pillars: visionary, empathetic, adaptive, and empowering leadership. These principles helped us cultivate a generative mindset by becoming more self-aware, reflecting on our values, and placing greater emphasis on emotional intelligence. This mindset shift encouraged us to navigate challenges with an open heart and mind.
As a generative group, we were challenged to become effective leaders—fostering collaboration and innovation, empowering future leaders, and transforming lives through collective growth. This enriching experience equipped us with valuable insights and reignited our commitment to shaping a brighter future for society.
The input sessions led by Fr. Joeston were both energizing and insightful. Despite his ill health, his zeal and commitment to his mission were evident, and his unwavering faith in God was an inspiring witness to us all. One of the sessions, titled "The Sound of Silence," set a reflective tone as we discussed themes of encountering God and building just relationships. We shared thought-provoking questions, using imagery like "many fruits on one tree" and "one fruit on many trees" to challenge our perspectives and highlight the importance of perception—what you see is what you get. Biblical characters such as Ruth, Naomi, and St. Joseph were recalled for their deep relationships with God and humanity.
Sr. Soumya also shared a valuable session on navigating menopause with a positive mindset. She encouraged the sisters to view menopause as a natural life phase, offering practical advice on managing symptoms, such as maintaining a balanced diet, staying physically active, and seeking medical guidance when necessary. She also emphasized the importance of mental and emotional well-being, recommending mindfulness practices, meditation, and exercise. Sr. Soumya’s insights empowered us to face this transformative stage with confidence and resilience, fostering both physical and emotional health.
At the end of the session, we had the opportunity to share deeply personal experiences, strengthening our bond and encouraging one another to continue forward, trusting in God’s plan for our lives and our role in building the Kingdom of God.
Life is meant to be enjoyed and to praise God. We were blessed with the opportunity to go sightseeing and witness the beauty of God’s creation. The sight of the vast sea and the golden moments spent together left us in awe, cherishing one another’s company. With grateful hearts, we were all renewed and refreshed, thankful to God for the chance provided by our PLT and ongoing team.
We also expressed our gratitude to God and to each other, especially to Fr. George SDB and his community, for their hospitality and for meeting the needs of the sisters with great care and kindness.
