5th Day Report

The theme for the day was “Intercultural Sisters of St. Joseph.”

The day began with group prayer focused on intercultural living within the community, workplace, and ministry. Members reflected and shared insights on its challenges and possibilities in a prayerful atmosphere.

Sr. Dolores provided valuable insights and referred to our Constitution, describing it as the "Gospel of the Congregation" and the guide for our way of life. She explained its clear instructions regarding the provincial chapter, provincial council, and their functions. Sr. Dolores encouraged the assembly to reflect deeply on the Constitution for guidance.

After the tea break, the assembly reviewed proposals submitted by various sisters and communities. Each proposal was presented, questioned, clarified, and discussed openly to ensure understanding and agreement.

Following this, the first draft of the new Provincial Chapter document (for the period from 9th November 2024 to 18th November 2024) was read section by section, allowing time for clarification.

The day concluded with a Holy Eucharistic celebration led by Fr. Prashant, a diocesan priest from the Diocese of Nagpur. He extended blessings and good wishes for the ongoing Chapter process.
