We the sisters of Tanmaya province central region commenced our regional meeting from 7th to 8th January 2023 in Tanmaya provincial house. On 7th the meeting was initiated with a meaningful prayer service by Srs. Vidya and Ramya which enabled each one to re-cherish, refresh and adorn our hearts with the insights and blessings of Christmas and New year with a new awakening.
38 participants from different communities graced this meeting with their benign presence. Gathering was addressed by Sr. Philo, the Provincial Superior. It was really a fresh start, very vitalizing and invigorating.
In her address, sister also led us into self-introspection and personal assessment which helped us to go deeper, encountering oneself in a spirit of prayer and making certain movements to change and have deepest desire to move with new awakening. Sister also added saying “We are not invited to live the chapter document rather we are committed to live”. How can we be ready to respond now and each day, taking some steps with new awakening for better life together? Sister left us with some reflective questions quoting several verses from the Gospel of St. Luke chapter 16. What do I hear from you? What do I hear about you? Where am I? And what move has to take place in life in order to journey towards newness? And finally where the Lord is leading me? etc.
Sr. Arpita the provincial councilor, incharge of the central region also gave an input session on how to excel in our life. With the help of PPT, she brought out three categories of people like maximizer, minimizer and the maintainers. This inspiring and thought provoking PPT was indeed a unique one which made us to analyze and realize our own way of life in dealing with oneself, our life in the community and mission as well. There after we were given some time for silent reflection looking at one’s journey of life, Am I a maximizer, minimizer or a maintainer? And thus the session ended with the open sharing and discussion, the participants were welcomed to share their reflections and the insights received. It enabled and inspired us to be more of maximizer and reinforced us to face challenges and difficulties.
On behalf of all the sisters of the central region Sr. Arpita mentioned her sincere sense of gratitude to all the outgoing members of RCT And welcomed all the newly elected members, Srs. Neha, Monica, Rani and Vibha with the bouquet of flowers.
2nd day we began our meeting with the beautiful prayer by Sr. Neha on the feast of epiphany, the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. With the spirit of prayer reflecting upon how I can be a star shining for others. This day we reflected upon our chapter document focusing on the theme “Immersed in the spirit connected with the world, witnessing love”. Sister Philo once again guided us into deep understanding as she shared her thoughts, personal reflection and her knowledge on this chapter document mainly focusing on the topic of community life, our ministries and communication. There after we all were divided into groups for discussion and to make some empirical and viable steps which can be practiced personally and in the community persistently. Then the secretaries of all the groups came up for reporting. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks where we thanked God Almighty for these two days of togetherness. Sharing and discussion has really energized and enriched us with rich blessings of unbreakable bond.
