We the Josephite family of Itarsi went to old age home with our students to celebrate International Day of older persons. It was indeed a great moment for all of us to visit them. Our students performed a short programme in order to make them happy. We could see the tears of hidden happiness flowing from their eyes. We felt the longing in their hearts to meet their beloved children.
The young students of the primary classes were able to understand their situation of being rejected by their family members and relatives. Students took a promise, never to leave their elderly alone but to care for them and be with them. Students, teachers and sisters contributed from their pocket and shared things with them. Happiness welled up on their faces. We were thrilled to see hidden happiness on their faces which gave us joy in return. They thanked us for spending our time with them.
