Prayer for Hope & Courage

In response to the ugly scenario dotting the Indian stage, our Parish Priest invited all Religious communities of the Parish on Thurs.15 Feb. to a special prayer organized at Sandhyavan chapel. Even though some communities did not respond positively due to prior engagements, the Chapel was full. The Chapel resounded with Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, with praise & worship, with powerful echoes of the brief homily, with intercessory prayer from 4.30pm. Prayer closed with Benediction. The congregation left with the desire to meet often for this form of prayer even as our Nation prepares to go to the Polls. Yes, we certainly think it is imperative to pray for good Governance, for leaders who are just, fair and who work for the welfare of all, without distinction.
